MidadQuest

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026.

1. What we collect

Through your Institution, MidadQuest may collect: names, school-issued or family-provided email addresses, class and grade enrollment, assignment and attendance records, and messages sent within the platform. We do not collect data directly from students or families outside of what the Institution provides or what's entered while using the platform.

2. How we use it

Data is used solely to operate the platform for your Institution: displaying assignments and progress, enabling teacher-family communication, and generating reports the Institution requests (like report cards or attendance summaries).

3. What we never do

We do not sell student or family data. We do not use it to serve advertising, to any student, parent, or teacher. We do not share it with third parties except service providers strictly necessary to operate MidadQuest (for example, email delivery), under agreements that restrict them to that purpose only.

4. Children's data

MidadQuest is used by K-12 students under the direction of their school. Institutions are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate consent to share student information with MidadQuest under applicable law (including, in the US, FERPA and COPPA where relevant). We act as a service provider to the Institution for this data.

5. Data access and control

Institutions can download their student, parent, and teacher roster lists and individual report cards from within MidadQuest. For a broader copy of an Institution's records, please contact us. Parents and students should direct data access, correction, or deletion requests to their Institution, which will work with us where our assistance is needed.

6. Data retention

We retain data for as long as the Institution's account is active, and for a period after termination. Nothing is deleted automatically. If an Institution asks us to delete information, we will work with the Institution on that request, subject to applicable law and to records we are required or permitted to retain — including financial, payment, and audit records.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices (encrypted connections, access controls scoped per school) to protect data. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll notify affected Institutions promptly if we become aware of a breach affecting their data.

8. Changes to this policy

We'll notify Institutions of material changes before they take effect.

This is general beta-platform boilerplate, not a substitute for review by a lawyer familiar with children's-data and education-records law in your jurisdiction.
